LED headlight design with an N touch.
The distinctive Kona LED headlight design with the black bezels are shared by all Hyundai N cars. Slim daytime running lights sit on top and complete the lighting signature.
The silhouette speaks N.
The Kona N's sporty silhoutee is emphasised by a low-ride height. Another design cue indicating that this is a high-performance Hyundai N model: the exclusive side sill in red with an engraved N logo.
19” forged alloy wheels.
The N-exclusive 19" forged alloy wheels with their dark satin grey finish and red calipers, are combined with bespoke high performance Pirelli P-Zero tyres for the ultimate in road-holding.
Rear spoiler and triangular brake light.
The rear is dominated by the large, double-wing roof spoiler that provides the necessary balance to keep the car on the road. It also contains the iconic triangular third brake light.
New rear bumper.
The rear bumper was designed to integrate with the body-coloured claddings and frame the two large exhaust tail-pipes with a red accent line.

N sports seats with electric adjustment.
The electrically adjustable driver and front seat passenger seats are heavily bolstered to combine for excellent comfort and a secure fit under spirited driving situations. These are finished in a combination of leather and alcantara for a dynamic look.
N steering wheel.
Featuring exclusive Performance Blue stitching and the N logo, the leather N steering wheel puts driving performance features right at your fingertips – like for example, the dedicated buttons for N Mode and N Grin Shift.

The all-new Kona N brings the excitement of N to the SUV. N means more than the 206 kW flat power engine or the 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. It means performance features such as launch control, the N corner carving differential, and the N Grin Control System with five drive modes (including a customisable one). The 2.0 T-GDi engine delivers 206 kW and a substantial increase in flat power for more torque and power at lower RPMs, improving responsiveness, acceleration, and fun.
8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
The quick-shifting automatic wet-type 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (N DCT) also lets you select gears manually for when you crave more race car energy.

N Grin Control System
At the push of a button, the N Grin Control System gives you the choice of five distinct drive modes to match your mood. The different modes changes the character of the car. Adjusting the parameters of the engine, suspension, steering, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), exhaust sound, N Corner Carving Differential (e-LSD), transmission.
Electronic Controlled Suspension.
Influence the stiffness of the suspension with the push of a button and optimise the vehicle’s response for various driving situations, on the road or at the racetrack.
Launch control
Accelerate with authority: Launch Control prevents tyre slippage and ensures optimal traction when you perform a powerful start.
N traction and stability control
Developed in-house, the traction and stability control is like a good co-pilot, helping when necessary but otherwise being quiet, never disturbing your driving fun. If desired, it can be switched off completely.
N Corner carving differential.
The Electronic Limited Slip Differential (E-LSD) controls the power transfer to each front wheel. It improves steering and stability in high speed turns.
Active variable exhaust system
Pump up the volume. Select different levels of exhaust sound – relatively restrained in Normal mode, to the crackling “after-burn” growl in N mode with added fuel detonations, like a rally car.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)
Combining radar and camera data, the FCA system autonomously activates the brakes when it detects dangerous and sudden braking by the car ahead or pedestrians on the road.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
A driver protection feature which helps monitor driving patterns in order to detect reckless or fatigued driving and prevent potential accidents. The system analyses various vehicle signals such as steering angle, steering torque, vehicle's positioning in the lane and driving time. If the system detects inattentive driving patterns, an audible sound and message on the display panel will bring this to the driver’s attention.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
LKA provides steering intervention to assist the vehicle to stay in the centre of the lane. When the vehicle strays from the intended lane without indicators being activated, an audible and visual warning will be sounded.
Lane Following Assist (LFA)
The Kona N features Lane Following Assist (LFA). When activated, it keeps the car centered in its lane at speeds between 0 and 180 km/h on highways and city streets.
High Beam Assistance (HBA)
LED high and low beam headlights automatically adjust to meet the needs of the environment and surrounds allowing you to concentrate on the road ahead whilst driving at night.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)
Using two radar sensors in the lower rear bumper, the system warns you of traffic in the blind spot area. Should you set the turn indicator in such a situation, it will sound an acoustic alert and brake to prevent collision.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
When reversing out of areas with low visibility, the system not only warns the driver if vehicles approach from the side – it also applies the brakes automatically.
Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with stop & go
More safety and less stress. Maintains a set distance to the vehicle ahead, automatically reducing or increasing speed to a pre-set limit. In “stop & go” traffic, the set distance is maintained.
