HYBRID-ELECTRIC POWER TRAIN

When IONIQ's two hearts beat as one, the combined output of the 1.6L engine and electric motor reaches a highly effective 104kW. They also operate independently as conditions require. So seamless are the transitions between pure electric, hybrid and petrol-only driving modes that you can barely notice them. In pure electric mode, IONIQ's range extends up to 52km thanks to the 8.9kW/h lithium-ion polymer battery.

ELECTRIC MOTOR

High torque and high efficiency are the principal attributes of the 44.5 kW electric motor. It delivers impressive pace during initial acceleration, and assists with adding extra power at higher road speeds.

1.6L PETROL ENGINE

The specially calibrated 1.6 litre GDi internal combustion engine delivers 77 kW of power with leading energy efficiency.

7-AIRBAG SYSTEM

Enjoy complete protection thanks to 7-airbags: a pair of front airbags for both front occupants and a knee airbag for the driver. A pair of side airbags (front only) and full-length curtain airbags defend against side collisions.
